Together Talk was created in 2020 to provide extra support to our communities and help bridge the gap between existing services, such as local FCSS services, Healthy Families Healthy Futures Society, physicians, AHS addictions and mental health services. Initial funding was provided through the Government of Alberta Mental Health and Addiction COVID-19 Community Funding Grant Program.

Together Talk is governed and administered by the Barrhead Association for Community Living. We thank the board of directors for their commitment to this valuable community program.
Together Talk is funded in partnership with Alberta Mental Health and Addiction along with local organizations and donors including:
- Pembina Hills School Division
- Barrhead Association for Community Living

We focus on…
Everyone in our local communities of Barrhead, Westlock and Athabasca, with a specific focus on:
- People who are facing challenging problems that can not be solved alone
- People who are feeling helpless and can’t find a way out
- Individuals and their families struggling with substance addiction.
We are especially responsive to the youth of our communities including children and their families. We also have counsellors who are skilled in coming along side people who are facing challenging points in their senior years.
